I don´t write anything about master or reference data as might be expected. This blog of mine is all about travelling, politics, food and culture in this order.
As long as I recall I have been interested in various themes of history, whether political, military, economical or social. Social and cultural change have been strong guidelines in my effort to understand our past and present.
In this context it wasn’t really a surprise for anyone who know me, that I decided to study contemporary history, politics and social policy. I feel privileged, that I have had this opportunity.
I confess, that I am an anglophile. I travel in the UK whenever I can. Furhermore I have an intention to share these experiences. Being an authorised tourist guide in the second generation, I intend to arrange guided tours to Britain (see https://jrtouristguideservices.wordpress.com/). An outstanding food has very much to do with these trips and I´m dead serious about this.
There are numerous excellent food blogs available. I wouldn’t even dream of competing with any of them. I would rather like to share some special places and extraordinary food with my followers. By doing so I have the opportunity to combine my passions, travelling, food and photography.
The Independent asked what people in their 70´s most regret in life. The most common answer was not having travelled more! So let´s not forget this if we have any chance to go somewhere we desire.
Furthermore I confess, that I am passionate about English football and I love pool, which I am not any good, I am afraid.
I am convinced, that we all need humanity, tolerance and some beautiful vanities like art and music every day. Social justice should be the driving force of the society! In this respect I´ll do my utmost.
Remember to be kind because everyone you´ll ever meet is fighting a hard battle.
Peace & Love

”Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it”.
Edmund Burke
“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
”Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: ”we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
”How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
”You must be,” said the Cat, ”or you wouldn’t have come here.”
